Lately I've been wanting to get back into cross stitch but the unfinished Winnie the Pooh pattern in one of my many Random Crap drawers causes me only shame. So obviously having recently thrown myself into the Games of Thrones fandom I've settled on the Game of Thrones Bookmarks design by user black-lupin on deviantart, which features the sigils and mottos of the main houses of Westeros. I may, with all due respect to the original designer as she's awesome, be amending the pattern for house Stark to put the emphasis on 'Winter' in their motto, and I'm planning to do all of the houses available so far in a row rather than as bookmarks.
So far I've only bought the cotton colours for house Baratheon and it came to £8.82 for needlecraft fabric, the four colours I needed and a pack of 16 needles (since I'm always losing the little bastards). I'll add progress pics as I go along and keep totting up the total to get a rough 'total cost' for this project for anyone interested.
